Note:

1. CSR for Double Hull Oil Tankers was first issued in January 2006. For corrections and amendments thereafter, please refer to the Revision History Table (item 2 below).
2. Corrigenda 1 (April 2006), Corrigenda 2 (July 2006) and Corrigenda 3 (Nov 2007) were incorporated into the 1 July 2008 consolidated version as shown in item 3 below.
   These corrigenda entered into force on 1st April 2006.
3. Rule Change Notice No.1 (September 2006) applied to ships contracted on or after 1st April 2007.
4. Rule Change Notice No.2 (Feb 2008) applied to ships contracted for construction on or after 1 July 2008. The Rule change may have been adopted before 1 July 2008 at the discretion of the Society.
5. Rule Change Notice No.1 and 2 were incorporated into the 1 July 2008 consolidated edition.
6. Corrigenda 1 for 1 July 2008 consolidated edition was approved on 2 July 2008. It was incorporated into the 1 July 2008 consolidated edition (item 4 below).
7. RCN1 for July 2008 consolidated edition was published on 11 Feb 2009. However in June 2009, based on further input from industry, IACS Council decided to postpone the implementation of RCN 1 (for July 2008 consolidated edition) until such time as an additional technical study was completed. In November 2009, following further technical review, IACS Council agreed an amended version of RCN 1 for July 2008 consolidated edition to enter into force on 1 February 2010.
8. Note that due to the postponement of the implementation date of RCN1 for July 2008 consolidated edition, there was no July 2009 consolidated edition of the CSR for Double Hull Oil Tankers. The next consolidated edition of the CSR for Double Hull Oil Tankers was 1 July 2010.
9. RCN 2 for July 2008 consolidated edition was published on 14 April 2010 and was effective from 1 July 2010. For details, click item 2 ‘Revision History Table’ below.
10. A consolidated edition incorporating all the previous RCNs and Corrigenda effective as of 1 July 2010 was issued on 23 April 2010.
11. RCN 1 for Double Hull Oil Tanker CSR (for 1 July 2010 consolidated edition) was published on 22 February 2012 and was effective from 1 July 2012. For details, click item 2 ‘Revision History Table’ below.
12. A consolidated edition incorporating all the previous RCNs and Corrigenda effective as of 1 July 2012 was issued on 03 May 2012.
13. These Rules will be superseded by the CSR BC & OT on effective date 1 July 2015.
